Dehradun, India

Dehradun, India. It’s done: warm jackets and good mountain shoes for 100 children in the DKI institute in Dehadrun. Delivered personally and directly from the expedition squad of the DAV. The children live there, separated from their families. some were given at the age of 5 years in the monastery – for a better future. They come from large parts of India and China. Provided with food and education, they found a place to grow up. But it is cold.
This project wasn’t easy. It was only possible with many helpers and kenial obstinacy. Thanks to Barbara for store and time. Thanks to Sonam for your strength, perseverance, and the organization on site at any time – day or night. Thanks to LOWA, marmot and vaude – for clothes, shoes and all papers under extreme time pressure. Mega thanks to Simon and DB Schenker for the patience and creativity to find new ways any time – and the endurance of any email terror. Thanks to Raman from exadsports, India for the trust in kenial and the great support across borders. Thanks to Buchung and the DKI for the perfect preparation in the monastery. Thanks to the guys from the Expedkader with their coach Michi. All the best on the way to the summit and the most stable weather window in the world for a great tour. Moving mountains for children.
