The Kids Soup Kitchen was set up by a German association and has been supported from the Harz region since 2018. There are several local volunteers who make sure that children from the neighborhood receive a warm meal every Sunday. John oversees everything, as he knows his community well and keeps an eye on things.
The food is cooked on site, hands are washed, there is singing, and of course football is played, or the children use the adjacent playground. The children come from the surrounding area and know exactly that everything is well organized. The youngest children are allowed to eat first.
This time, Katrin and Lena visit the soup kitchen and bring clothes, pens, shoes, backpacks, and many other items.
