Some time has passed, the transport in the country was time-consuming but it was worth it. The first items reach Karakol with Misha and the children there. The joy is huge, but there are many more children there. An accident halted the distribution for the time being, but hopefully it will continue in a few days.<\/p>\n

\nThe children. Children from very simple families come together here in Karakol and are allowed to try out skiing. Many of them belong to clubs that also go hiking together and practise off-piste orientation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nThe travellers. Tina and Lukas handed over the clothes to Misha on site some time ago. And now the time has finally come and he reaches the first children with Lidia. It takes a really long time, but everything arrives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nContact on site. As always, Misha Danishkin, himself a mountain guide and the first winter climber of all 7000m peaks in the former Soviet Union, is responsible for the entire organisation on site. He maintains contact with the schools, children’s homes and social workers and teachers.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\nHandover. The luggage includes jackets, trousers, jumpers and buffs. Thanks to Sch\u00f6ffel, Maloja and Ortovox.<\/p>\n<\/div>

August 2024 – Orlovka<\/strong>
\nWe will be back in August to visit two of the local children’s homes. In Tokmok and Orlovka. We bring a bag with warm winter clothes for each child, including warm jackets, pants and shirts. Shoes for the younger children too. Some of the children are expected to arrive that day. There are also first things for these kids.<\/p>\n

\nThe children. In August, we first visit the Orlovka children’s home. The children are at the summer camp at Issy Kul. The older children work in the kitchen of the facility to finance their stay.
\n<\/div>\n

\nThe travelers. Oskar, Wilma, Inga and Anke travel through the country. In their luggage are over 60 kg of clothes for the children. All new things. Thanks to LOWA, Ortovox, the DAV and Columbia for supporting the project. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nContact on site. We get to know the home management personally and look forward to working with them in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>

August 2024 – Tokmok<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe children. We meet the children in their children’s home in Tokmok. Some are visiting relatives, it’s the vacations. But most of the children are there. And some new arrivals are expected on this day, whose parents have been deprived of custody.

\nContact on site. We get to know the home management personally and look forward to working with them again. As a former teacher, Elmira speaks fluent German.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
