A small group of 21 children live and study in the monastery. The children only see their parents during the holidays, so they spend day after day inside the old walls. They lack warm clothing. Incidentally, the boys can learn a &#8220;normal&#8221; profession after finishing school, when they are around 16 years old, and are not forced to stay in the monastery for the rest of their lives.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5770 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ladakh_kids_kl.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><br \/>\nThe children. 21 boys are growing up in the monastery. They are between 5 and 15 years old. They learn and play together, only seeing the family during the vacations.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5778 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/tina2023_kl_ladakh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><br \/>\nThe travellers. Tina and Lukas have been travelling for a while. Their journey will take them to Ladakh in spring 2024, where they will visit the children and bring warm clothes and shoes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird last\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5769 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ansprechpartner_ladakh_kl.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><br \/>\nContact person. Mipham is a teacher and carer for the boys in the monastery. As with all of our projects in India, it is only thanks to the help of Raman and ExadSports that it is possible to get the items into the country. the next goal is to reach the young people and bring sunglasses for everyone.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5778 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ladakh_kids.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><br \/>\nThe monastery is well over 3000m high.
