The Riverheights Football Academy is a soccer and education project in one of the poorest and most socially neglected areas in Windhoek. The academy transforms the lives of about 60 children through soccer and helps the kids to reach their full potential through play.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/river_heights_kl.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7914\" \/><br \/>\nThe focus is on the well-being of the children, initially through soccer and later through education, arts and culture. Movement, team spirit and fun. That makes for self-confidence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7945 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/ankekossi_kl.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><br \/>\nOskar, Wilma and Anke are traveling through Namibia in spring 2022. And they are already looking forward to the soccer project on site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird last\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7960 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/riverheights_kl-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/tfdw.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trikots f\u00fcr die Welt<\/a>, the luggage will hopefully include jerseys, pants and sockets for several teams &#8211; and maybe even something for the girls. Women&#8217;s teams are in the planning stage.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7914 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/RH_kl822.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><br \/>\nIn August 2022, a very large shipment arrives. Trikot f\u00fcr die Welt from Hamburg donates balls, shoes and jerseys. For many of the boys the first pair of sports shoes ever. And everything can be brought to Namibia in a container. Simply kenial.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7914 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/riverheights_223_kl.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" \/><br \/>\nAlready in March 23, there are also jerseys for the younger footballers. Thanks to Trikot f\u00fcr die Welt!<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird last\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/frauenteam_riverheights_kl.jpg\" alt=\"riverheights\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9736\" \/><br \/>\nThe first jersey sets for the women&#8217;s team arrived in August 2024. Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/tfdw.de\/\" target=\"\u2018_blank\u2019\" rel=\"\u2018noopener\u2019 noopener\">Trikot f\u00fcr die Welt<\/a> and Sebastion for delivering them.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/river_5-25_kl.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/>\nIn May 2025, we will be able to send our first shipment duty-free. It&#8217;s a crazy amount of bureaucracy, but we&#8217;re really excited. Hopefully, it&#8217;s the start of something bigger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oneThird\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kenial.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/river_6-25_kl-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"147\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10052\" \/><br \/>\nAnd it continues in June. Clothes for the girls&#8217; teams and the coaches.
