Far in the North, just before the border to Angola, Lena visits the small school in Omuhoro. Around 90 children attend this little primary school. There are four classes, two of which are taught together. The children have long walks to school. Classes are supposed to start early in the morning, but the families first have to take care of the goats \u2013 and the children help with that. Only then do they go to school. Some children will not return after the fourth grade, but instead stay on their small farms to help out.<\/p>\n

\nSchool starts at 9:00 a.m., but many children can only arrive by 11. At 3:00 p.m. the school day ends \u2014 but before that, there\u2019s a serving of maize porridge for everyone.
